What is a Physical Activity Plan?

A physical activity plan is a strategic document that identifies the current and future physical activity opportunities of your community.  It plans for the infrastructure and service needs using a coordinated approach.  Physical activity plans are designed to integrate with local, state and federal policy directions and consider areas such as general health and fitness promotion, obesity reduction, active travel, direct services, programs and events.
